Auditor of State’s Office Earns Highest Peer Review Rating

Wednesday, April 8, 2015

Columbus – Auditor of State Dave Yost’s office has received the highest possible rating from a peer review conducted by the National State Auditors Association (NSAA).

“Even auditors must undergo a review,” Auditor Yost said. “This affirmation from leaders in our industry is a testament to the dedication and professionalism of our staff.”

Receiving the highest peer review rating ensures the Auditor of State’s system of quality control conforms to Government Auditing Standards and produces reliable audits.

Representatives from eight states and the federal government conducted the peer review, required by the United States Government Accountability Office. They evaluated a representative selection of financial and performance audits conducted by the Auditor of State’s office during the period March 1, 2014 through February 28, 2015.

NSAA is an organization dedicated to uniting state auditors by encouraging and providing opportunities for the free exchange of information and ideas between auditors at the local, state, and federal levels.

The Auditor of State’s NSAA peer review is available online.
