Montgomery County Nurse Owes Ohio Medicaid $36,000

Columbus – Documentation provided by Medicaid provider Jennifer Jones indicated that she administrated services to multiple patients in different locations at the same time, according to an audit released today by Auditor of State Dave Yost. 

“There are only two possible answers for this,” Auditor Yost said. “She either lied or she has super powers allowing her to be in two places at once, you be the judge.” 

A review of 503 services identified 298 instances of noncompliance and 43 services that resulted in overpayments, totaling $29,876.67. 

A separate review of 716 services identified 46 instances where Jones overlapped arrival and departure times for multiple Medicaid recipients on the same day. An additional 32 instances identified that Jones did not record the arrival and departure times of service delivery. These 78 errors resulted in overpayments of $4,286.10

With $2,144.53 in interest, at total of $36,307.30 is due to Ohio Medicaid.
