The Ohio Auditor of State Office oversees a comprehensive selection process for appropriate firms who are interested in performing government audits on behalf of the office.

State Performance Audit Firm Registration
PERFORMANCE AUDITS

On April 5, 2011, Senate Bill 4 was signed into law and gave the Auditor of State’s Office the opportunity to change the way Ohio government does business. This legislation requires that the Auditor of State’s Office conduct performance audits of state agencies to streamline agency operations and ensure optimal use of tax dollars.

The Auditor of State’s Office will be conducting a Vendor Selection Process to oversee and select appropriate firms to assist the Auditor in fulfilling this statutory responsibility. Initially an external vendor will be selected to conduct a performance audit for the Ohio Housing Finance Agency (OHFA) on behalf of the Auditor.

Firms interested in submitting a proposal for OHFA and all future State Performance Audits must register by completing the State Performance Audit Firm Registration Request form and include all requested exhibits for approval. Doing so will add the firm to the approved list. Please note this list is separate from the approved list for Financial Audits.

Upon completion, approved entities will be eligible to conduct State Performance Audits and will receive, by email, all future State Performance correspondence regarding potential outsourced performance audit work including the Ohio Housing Finance Agency Request for Information.
